Record Low Unemployment Rate in June

The National Employment Agency reported that unemployment in June has fallen to record low levels. For the past month it was 5.7%, and on an annual basis, the decrease is by 1.1%.

A total of 23,769 people started work in June. The registered unemployed people at the end of June were 188,576. Their number decreased by 15.9% compared to a year earlier for the same period.

The jobs positions which are most wanted in June are mainly related to seasonal work - bartenders, waiters, chefs and other hotel personnel. In addition, workers in the manufacturing, construction and transport sectors; vendors; skilled workers in the food industry, woodworking industry, metallurgists, machine builders; lecturers; drivers and mobile equipment, etc.

At present, labor offices offer a total of 17,339 jobs, of which 83% are in the private sector, with the largest share of vacancies in the manufacturing, hotel, and administrative sectors.
