Bulgarian Prime Minister Receives Medal of Independence from Kosovo

The President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi awarded the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov with the Medal of Independence for his contribution to Kosovo's freedom and independence. This award is given because of the 10-year anniversary of Kosovo's proclamation of independence.

President Thaçi said that this award is not only for the Prime Miniter but for the Bulgarian people as well. He recognized Borisov's personal efforts and his support for Kosovo and thanked the Bulgarian people for developing a warm friendship between the two countries. The President said he is excited for the meeting in Sofia (the Bulgarian government is going to hold a meeting for all Balkan countries) and that he is sure of the warmheartedness of the Bulgarian people towards the people of Kosovo.

Prime Minister Borisov said that this award should be taken as a token of gratitude and recognition. The Bulgarian people has suffered throughout the war but has always been supportive of the fight for independence, freedom, peace, democracy, and prosperity.
