Joint Swedish-Bulgarian bust on a Human Trafficking Canal

After the joint operations of Swedish and Bulgarian police officers, a human trafficking canal has been seized. 12 people have been arrested.

On December 5, 2017 a joint operation of Bulgarian and Swedish police, aided by Europol has put a halt to a human trafficking canal. In Sweeden, 10 people have been arrested and in Bulgaria, 2 of the canal’s members have been caught. According to released statements, the arrested criminals have been part of a human trafficking canal, which has been used by professional beggars. This successful project may the beginning of a good collaboration between Bulgaria and Sweden, as there are many other similar trafficking operations supposed to be controlled from Bulgaria.
